| The standard cut shown here is the most versatile style of cloak. (shown here worn in black wool and hanging, in black velour and green wool) It is fitted to the shoulders and fastens at the throat with a bronze or silver effect buckle (this can be removed and replaced by a cloak pin or broach. The cloak comes with a hood or collar, and can be made full, half or 3/4 length, in a variety of fabrics. The front panels of the cloak can easily be folded back over the shoulder leaving the hands free while the weight of the garment is still supported by the shoulders (not by the throat as in some designs).
