| Effie eats: -Junglegold Fruit burst mix, and monkey nuts ad libitum. -For breakfast, mash based on this. Here is a rough example recipe for 4 months worth: 1 carrot, 1 swede, 1 sweet potato, 2 medium potatoes, all roughly mashed. Frozen mix veg (about 3 cups carrots, sweetcorn, peas and beans) 1/2 cup each of: black eye beans, red lentils, brown lentils, puy lentils, yellow split peas, green split peas, chick peas, pearl barley, 1 cup kidney beans, soaked, boiled and crushed a bit. a couple of tablespoons sesame seeds. and about 3 big spoons of palm fruit extract. About 3 cups grapes, 4 bananas, 4 apples, large bunch greens, a few handfuls of herbs from the garden. 2 courgettes chopped and lightly boiled about 4 cloves of garlic and a handful of green chillis About half the vitamin/mineral supplement powder (psittamix) dose for 4 months. Possibly other things I can't remember. The entire ingredients cost less than £10. It is not pureed, as she isn't a fussy eater. I freeze this in plug trays (for gardening) one plug is 2 days' worth. Plus a wholemeal cracker spread with palm fruit extract. -For tea: A small portion of what I am eating, keeping to low salt and low fat. Usually pasta/potato/rice with veg and a little meat/egg/fish/beans. |
